NYX Round Lipstick - Thalia

I have been adding more nude and earth toned shades in my collection recently and it is so strange for me, cause I love my pinks. I wouldn't think of wearing a nude lipstick a couple of years back, the thought of a nude lip made me so scared. But with the correct makeup, any nude looks good.  Especially with a lovely smokey eye. 

The influence from Kylie Jenner's gorgeous nude lips is huge at the moment. Everyone is talking about her lips and the lip kits that she released, however, not all reviews on her products are nice and people are very disappointed. But her lips, omg, her lips look amazing. We all want nice and defined lips and nude shades give us this desired effect, fuller looking and more defined lips.

I've been wanting to purchase the NYX Round Lipstick in Thalia after reading all about it in a blog and seeing the lovely lip swatches the girl has provided.  Thalia is not a nude, but a muted mauve shade and it is probably the softest and creamiest lipstick I have ever tried. It is extremely moisturising on the lips (a great alternative after using all my matte/dry liquid lipsticks).  

While reading reviews on this one before ordering it, I read that depending on your skin tone, this may appear as a pink/purple shade, which is really awkward cause it comes as a muted mauve shade out of the tube.  This is your 'put a lipstick and go to the supermarket cause we run out of milk' kind of lipstick.  It applies really nice on the lips, no mirror required.

Thalia is not longlasting; but stays on the lips for a good 2-3 hours on, which is fine by me and you definitely need to re-apply after having a meal or drink something. Pigmentation is medium so you have to apply it several times on your lips to get the proper shade out.

The packaging of this is nothing special.  Just a black plastic tube that holds the lipstick inside and a clear lid that shows the actual colour of the lipstick.

This lipstick is so similar to the Essence 03 Come Naturally, this one is far more pigmented than the Essence one but they look alike. Next on my list from the NYX Round Lipsticks will be definitely Tea Rose.
