I honestly cannot believe how far I came. The very first post on this blog was up on November 6, 2015 and please do not go and read my first posts cause I am so embarrassed about them haha!
I have been reading beauty blogs for ages and I wanted to create my own blog but things got in the way and it never happened. But last year, I went to a beauty bazaar and I purchased lots of beauty products, skincare and makeup so I said 'it's time'! At first, it was hard. Not that now it isn't, but a year ago, I remember me struggling about everything.
I don't have a camera and I love taking selfies etc with my phone, but blog pictures require a different approach and method. You need to have the perfect lighting, great background, props like plates and flowers and magazines and so many more that will make the picture more beautiful and attractive. I didn't know anything about editing or tricks on how to take good pictures. Also, I didn't know anything about how social media are a big part of this and I thought it was an easy job. Everyone is doing it so it must be easy, right? And then writer's block happened; how many times I started writing about something and then I went blank. Nothing. Nada.
It is not easy having to spent hours and hours in front of your computer writing, editing, sharing, commenting, taking pictures, chasing the natural light all day to have the perfect photo etc. So you have to love it in order to make it work.
However, despite the difficulties I had, I really enjoy doing this and I really love the process. And I believe this is the most important thing: to love what you do and do it with passion, not only because you have to do it but because it makes you happy. About 7 months ago, I had no inspiration and I was about to quit. I took a break from everything and this reminded me why I started blogging in the first place and why I love it so much.
