Straw bags - the trend of this spring

Everywhere you look at the moment, you see them. In the streets, shop displays and fashion blog posts.

Straw bags made a come back from a few decades back and they are here to stay. I remember my mum using a straw bag all the time when we were kids and went to the beach in summer, it was a beautiful large straw bag that she used to put our sandwiches and cookies in case we got hungry after swimming.

Last summer while visiting my parents, I found in my old closet a large straw bag I used for the beach and I decided to transform it. I added some pom poms and the result was a beautiful colorful straw bag. (DIY here).

Straw bags are cute and also practical and look awesome with any outfit. They come in different shapes and sizes and this year, the round bags are also back. A round straw bag is my next purchase for sure!

You can dress them up or down and they are the perfect accessory for dresses. Look how pretty this bag looks paired with this white and blue dress I am wearing.

Also, a plain straw bag can be dressed too using a scarf. You can play with colour combos and change it based on your likings and colour palette you are wearing.
