I finally purchased the NYX Matte Lip Creams

It's been a good three months since I saw these babies wandering around the blogsphere and flashing their lovely shades in my face.  I am probably the last girl on earth that I haven't tried the NYX Matte Lip Creams, but now I have two of them to brag about and proudly wear on my lips!
You will probably know this by now, but there are 34 shades available from the Matte Lip Creams range.  I chose two to begin with, Cannes and Prague.

First of all, let's talk about the formula. These have a rich creamy formula that stays on the lips for hours. It dries beautifully on the lips and usually, it takes a couple of minutes to dry and they feel very comfortable to wear. I noticed no flakes, no bleeding and the colour stayed on just like it was when I applied it.  However, these are rich and pigmented but you need to apply at least three coats.

One thing to remember is that this product as well as the Milani Amore Mattallic Lip Creme  that I talked about last week, transfers on everything. Food, drink, boyfriend, dog! It transfers as soon as you touch your lips to something else which can be a little frustrating.

These lip creams have an incredible scent; vanilla cupcakes. Need I say more? Love them!  The packaging is simple.  A clear plastic tube with a black cap and a doe foot applicator that is supposed to make application easier but sometimes it picks up much more product than you need.  And how cool are their city names?

Cannes is a warm rose nude shade, perfect for every day.  This will suit everyone, but I think it will show more/less brown in the lips, depending on how pigmented your lips are. A lovely rose browny shade!

Prague is a medium plum/berry shade, much more pigmented than Cannes and great for a night out or a formal event. I love this shade so much and when I received these two, I tried this one first. I was walking around the house wearing this on my lips and my fiance was like 'are we going somewhere'? Haha. I love a good lipstick and I am not afraid to wear it at home with my pjs!

I will definitely purchase more, cause I am in love with these two. Copenhagen is definitely next on my list and also San Paolo or Madrid.

Have you tried these? If yes, send me the links of your posts so I can see your lovely shades and swatches!
