Elf bronzers

I do not own a huge number of bronzers and honestly, I only started wearing one last summer.  Or that was two summers ago? One or two, this means that bronzer was not essential for me cause I didn't really know how to use one or when to use it.
But as it always happens, I started wearing a bronzer and now I am obsessed! Today I will show you two of the bronzers I own, the one I love and the other I hate, and I will explain why.

The packaging of both products is exactly what shown in the picture; a simple black case that does not feel fancy or luxurious at all.

The Elf Studio Cool Bronzer is a multi-purpose product.  I use it as a bronzer with all shades mixed together, I use the two lighter shades at the bottom as a blush and each one separately as eyeshadows.

These shades are matte and the white shade can be used for highlighting purposes, however, I don't like to use it that way.  I like my highlighter to be shimmery and give me a nice glow.  This one is matte so I prefer to use it as a base on my eyelids before applying eyeshadow.  I like this product a lot, it can be used in so many ways and it is travel-friendly. Three uses in one product! Bonus!

When I decided to purchase the Elf St.Lucia bronzer, I immediately knew that the two shades will look good on my skin tone but also in summer when I get a lovely tan from the sun.  But what happens when you accidentally order the bronzing cream and not the powder? Disaster.  I haven't used a cream on my cheeks before and I find it sooooo difficult to apply the damn thing.  Is it me? Do I only have to get use to it?

I always apply too much product because this thing is so pigmented and I cannot blend it correctly.  I tried so many times (you can see in the photo that the product is not new) but I just cannot use it.

I am not saying that this is not a good product, I read plenty of reviews after I ordered it by mistake to see what is going on with it, and the reviews on this one are really good.  I am not loving it though, it takes me a lot of time in the morning to use this one correctly. Do tell me in the comments below if you have ever tried this and what are your thoughts on this.

Have a nice week and I will see you soon!

  7. I suggest using a stippling brush or a dual fibre brush for blending in cream products to the face. That's what I do too, it's impossible for me to get it right using fingers but with those two brushes, I get the most natural flawless finish.

  11. I have never used a cream product on my face either because I don't think I'd be very good at blending it. ELF has some really great products out there!

  17. Even though I liked some of their products I won't be purchasing any longer from Elf Cosmetics. Their products made me break out in places on my face I never even thought I'd have issues and this is the only makeup brand I've had that experience with so far. They seriously should revise their ingredient lists :) www.joliennathalie.com
