Remember the time when I said that I will not purchase anything until the end of May (did I actually say that, or was I thinking about it?) Anyway, I had a voucher that was expiring so I had to redeem it and get something. You would do the same, wouldn't you? Please say you would!
I bought three things from Essence (Essence is a brand I always go back to when I want to try a shade or a trend because it is super affordable). So I picked a liquid eyeliner in black, in a pen form, I always find it easier to apply my eyeliner using a pen instead of a brush. I haven't tried this Essence eyeliner before but I tried the waterproof one and it was good. Now that it dried up I decided to purchase another one. Also, I picked the sweetest double eye shadow in pink/grey.
I love this shimmery eye shadow and I cannot wait to play with it. It is pigmented enough to allow colour on the lid with the first swipe and it is fully buildable. I love shimmer eye shadows at the moment, which is rare for me cause I love my matte products. There is something elegant in a shimmer eye shadow, I think that the influence from the recent hype on highlighters is huge on me haha!
Nude Love lipstick (#11) is the latest addition to my Essence lipsticks. It's a coral/nude shade that compliments my skin tone and the colour is sheer and have to be applied several times in order to build up on the lips. Finding a nude/pink shade can be tricky, nude shades sometimes wash me out and I look like a ghost, but this one does the job perfectly. Lovely colour and good pigmentation, what more can I ask from an affordable lipstick?
