W7 Lipsticks - Three favourites

Did you know that lipstick was 'invented' 5000 years ago, probably by the Ancient Sumerian that used to crush gemstones and used them to decorate their face, mostly their lips and eyes? Amazing, isn't it?

Later on, Cleopatra crushed bugs in order to collect a lovely red colour to use on her lips and here we are today. Lipstick is probably the most popular makeup product and definitely my favourite, I can live without mascara or concealer or nail polish, but I love my lipsticks so much I think I could not live without lipstick.

I talked about the W7 lipsticks a while ago and today I have three of them, and I promise, you will love them. I like to discover inexpensive and affordable options that  fit my budget and that everyone can try them, and the W7 cosmetics are exactly what we mean when we talk about affordable cosmetics.

Their packaging is lovely and looks expensive and elegant. It is a nice black tube with the exact colour of the lipstick at the bottom, which makes it easier to track down which one you want to use.  And also, the name of the shade is at the bottom and I really love the names they have given to their shades.

Berry Nice - this shade along with Poppy, are very creamy and softer than Darling. And you can see from the swatches above that these two have a nice gloss finish. Berry Nice is a dark berry shade that reminds me a lot of the Wet 'n' Wild Sugar Plum Fairy. In fact, I swatched both shades together and they are not only similar, they are exactly the same.

I love these kind of shades, they are perfect for fall and last year I remembered I used to wear Sugar Plum Fairy for a whole month! This year I will be rocking this shade and I am so glad W7 came up with these lovely creamy and moisturising lipsticks.

Poppy - this is a medium toned red that would flatter many skin tones and I say this because I usually don't look good in these shades, they sometimes look awkward on me (my skin is medium) and this lipstick is so beautiful.  The colour is intense and vibrant but this is a shade that you can wear also on a daily basis.

Darling - I talked about this shade here, and I got really nice comments from you saying that this is the perfect shade for everyday use. I agree, this is the colour that you want to wear every day, it is an 'easy' shade and I would probably wear it on days where I have no makeup on. Just grab this lipstick and you are ready to go.

This is not as creamy as the other two shades, but creamy enough to suit my taste. The finish is more matte than the other two but definitely not dry.

These are the two berry/plum shades I swatched. They look the same, don't they? Sugar Plum Fairy is drier than Berry Nice and not as soft and creamy but still, it is a favourite.

Have you tried the W7 lipsticks? Which one is your favourite shade?
